HOSPITAL NEWS The Gravette Hospital
had a tour of the facility on February 29, from 3-6 p.m. The hospital is expected
to reopen on March 17, as the Ozarks Community Hospital of Gravette. Paul Taylor
is the new CEO. NEW WATER TOWER The
new water tower is still in the works. Easements are being obtained for the water
lines needed to hook the tank to the system. Contracts for the water tank will
probably be let around the end of March. SEWER
SYSTEM McGoodwin, Williams, &
Yates are still researching the sewer system. The 2.75% interest rate is locked
in. CITY HALL
Gravette City Hall has relocated
from 119 Main St. SE to604 First Ave. SE., (Highway 59). The drive up window is
working well. Main St. lights have been
installed on the east end of Main St., lighting the area to the new high school.
Arvest Bank has donated $2000 for benches
to be installed along Main St. These should be provided in the near future. FIRE
DEPARTMENT The fire department has
received approval for a $30,000 grant. This will be used to provide the sleeping
quarters at the fire station. OTHER
NEWS An Eagle Scout has agreed to
take on the task of completing the fountain area just west of the Ice House Cafe. Bill
