At the Gravette Public Library
by Kimberley Gibson

Aug 2, 2006 What is a Library?
The Oxford Dictionary’s definition of a library is “A collection of books, etc., for use by the public or by members of a group”. And what a collection the Gravette Public Library has for the public! There are new materials practically every week if not daily, including books, audios, and even videos.
What better way to spend a hot summer day than at the Gravette Public Library? The library is open Monday thru Friday from 9AM to 5:30PM. The library stays open late on Thursday nights until 8:00PM. It is also open on Saturday from 9AM to 2PM. A library membership is only $2.00 for residences of the Gravette School District. A family membership is only $5.00, what a savings! Non-Resident Adult Memberships are only $10.00 and Non-Resident Junior/Child Memberships are only $5.00. A valid ID and proof of residency is required to receive a membership. For Juniors and Children Memberships, a parent/guardian is required. Adults are able to check out 5 materials at a time. Juniors and Children are able to check out 3 materials at a time. Materials can be checked out for a period of two weeks.
Come join us and cool off with a good book. Come and surf the Internet, check out a video or even an audio book. We look forward to seeing you during the hot days of summer!
