A Page from Our Book
At the Gravette Public Library
by Kimberley Gibson

June 21, 2006 The Gravette Public Library has some wonderful Summer Programs in session. The Summer Reading Program, “Paws, Claws, Scales, and Tales”, has had a great first couple of weeks. The first week we learned about “How to get a Pet!” We had a special quest speaker, Rebecca Sullivan, from the Bella Vista Animal Shelter. She brought a special puppy friend with her that the children named, “Waggy”. The second week we learned about “How to take care of a pet”. We had a veterinarian from the Countryview Animal Clinic come and talk to the children. They also read books, made crafts, had snacks plus much more. It is not to late to enroll in the Summer Reading Program. It is every Tuesday from 10 AM to 11:30 AM for 5 to 12 year olds.
This summer we are also having Pre-K Story-Time. We read books, make crafts, have snacks, and so much more. We have done fun things for Father’s Day and the summer. It is also not to late to enroll in the Pre-K Story-Time. It is every Thursday from 11AM to noon for 2 to 5 year olds.
If you have any questions about our fun Summer Programs, please feel free to stop by the library at 407 Charlotte St. S.E. or call us at 479-787-6955. We look forward to hearing from you.
