This week is National Library Week. During this week we will be having a fundraiser, book sale, and fun activities for all. We are asking every one to come and support your local library.
The Gravette Public Library will be holding a fundraiser at the library on Friday, April 20, 2007. The library will be selling Hamburger Sack Lunches for only $5.00. The sack lunch includes a ¼ lb hamburger, chips, drink and dessert. Please purchase your tickets in advance. However, you may be able to purchase the day of the fundraiser, but the numbers will be limited. You may pre-purchase your tickets at the Gravette Public Library. Along with the sack lunches, we will also be having a book sale. We will have all kinds of materials. We will have children, juniors, and adult fiction and non-fiction materials. The proceeds from the fundraiser will go to match a grant we have received for over $1000.00 worth of books. The library is located on 407 Charlotte Street SE. Since this week is National Library Week, the Gravette Public Library will be reading “Charlotte’s Web” by E.B. White, everyday this week at 3:45PM. On Friday, we will show the new movie, “Charlotte’s Web”. Everyone is invited, however seating will be limited.
This week is also National Volunteer Week. If you know someone who volunteers, take the time to say “Thank You!” The Gravette Public Library would like to thank all of its Volunteers and Supporters. If it was not for you, we would not be able to provide the things to the public as we do. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!!!!
The Gravette Public Library would also like to thank everyone who helped with the Easter Egg Hunt Celebration. It was a huge success. It was a little cold, but we still had fun. We would like to thank everyone who volunteered their time and efforts for this wonderful celebration. We would also like to thank the following sponsors: Arvest Bank, Teasley Drug, Wizard Works, Austin Drugs, Hendren Ford, Snorky’s Pizza, Dollar General, Frito Lay, Gibson Gardens and Gifts, C-Store, Country View Animal Care Center, Bank of Gravett, Boys and Girls Club, Sonic and Special Edition. Please take the time and stop by these local businesses and thank them. If it was not for their help and the help of the volunteers, we could not have done it. We will be making the Easter Egg Hunt Celebration an annual celebration provided by the Gravette Public Library.
