There are many things to celebrate in the month of May. During May there is May Day, Mother Goose Day, Cinco de Mayo, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Be Kind to Animals Week, National Music Week, National Book Month, Older Americans Month, National Physical Fitness & Sports Month, Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, National Backyard Games Week and Arkansas Heritage Month. Don’t let us forget the special birthdays like Florence Nightingale, Ralph Waldo Emerson and John F Kennedy.
May will be the last month, until after summer, for the Story Mobile, Story Time, and Home School Programs. All programs will be combined into the Summer Reading Program for all ages from birth to the 12th grade. The Theme this year is Mystery. There will be more information available in the next few weeks about the Summer Reading Program. Please keep your eyes and ears open for more great information.
The Gravette Public Library would like to thank the Gravette Community for their support on the hamburger fundraiser. With everyone’s help and support, the library met their goal. The proceeds will go to match a grant for new books for the children’s, juniors and young adult sections of the library. Thank you to everyone!
